There are four types of instructions for which you can create batches. See the following sections for detailed instructions:

Create a batch for shipment instructions

For the R/F processing all R/F shipment, put away and replenishment instructions are location movements that contain the steps pick and put away. The processes of creating batches for shipment instructions are therefore almost identical.

The following illustrates the creation of a shipment batch. The task points out where differences in the procedure exist.

  1. Select the Work with R/F instructions menu item. Note: If Radio Frequency Handling is not activated in the main warehouse, then you access the Warehouse selection where you select the applicable warehouse to work with.
  2. You access Work with R/F instructions, Open batches. Click Create shipments.
  3. You access Work with R/F instructions, Select shipments. From this panel you can select existing pick suggestion lines that you want to add to the R/F batch. Note: Suggestion lines that have been selected for an automatically created batch are not displayed on this panel.
  4. Select the shipment lines that you want to add to the R/F batch.

  5. You access Work with R/F instructions, Confirm shipments displaying the pick suggestion lines that you have selected. The following fields are mandatory:
  6. Priority
Enter a priority value indicating in which order the R/F batches should appear in the Select R/F batch function. Valid values range from 1 through 99999, where 1 is the highest priority.
    Pick/put type
Enter the pick/put type you want to apply for the R/F pick instruction. The pick/put type provides information about in which sequence the pick and put instructions are to be performed.

    Valid codes are:

Click OK to confirm that the selected lines should be added to the R/F batch.

  7. You access Work with R/F instructions, Confirm staging locations which displays information about the staging location for the lines. Complete the following field:
  8. Zn/Location
If a staging zone and location are defined for the combination manner of transport and warehouse in the R/F staging location table, then this zone and location are defaulted. If not, then the zone and location will be retrieved from Work with warehouses. The zone and location indicate where the items should be stored prior to shipping. Note: If the Pick/put type is set to 5 or 6, then it is also mandatory to complete the Pack type and P qty fields.

Click OK to confirm the entered information. A new batch has been created with the selected instruction lines. Exit the routine.
