Receive pallet handled items from a manufacturing order

The following describes how to receive pallet handled items, how to create pallet numbers and how to print pallet number labels.

When the pallet handled items arrive at the warehouse the pallet has not yet received a pallet number. This is created during the reception procedures. You use the normal reception function when you receive pallet handled items. If you want pallet number labels to be printed for the created pallets, this must be manually ordered through the pallet reception function.

  1. Select the Issue/receive manufacturing order menu item.
  2. You access Inventory transaction selection, Manufacturing order. Select the manufacturing order you want to receive and click Reception.
  3. You access Manufacturing order reception. The following fields are relevant for this example:
  4. Approved qty
    Enter the approved quantity in stock unit.
    Complete
    Indicate if this is the last reception that is made on the manufacturing order. If you set this field to YES, the manufacturing order will be closed (order status is set to 60) and all reservation and workload will be removed.
    Stock unit
    Indicate if the quantity is entered in stock unit (YES) or structure unit (NO).
    Pallet type
    Displays the pallet type that was defined in the Item file but can be changed. If this field and Qty/pallet are completed, pallets will be created according to the reception quantity (approved quantity).
    Qty/pallet
    Displays the quantity per pallet that was defined in the Item file but can be changed. This is used to create a number of pallets according to the reception quantity (approved quantity) to update the warehouse balance with pallet id.
    Rec date
    Indicates the date when the reception is made.

    Click OK to create a pallet number and receive the pallet.

  5. You return to Inventory transaction selection, Manufacturing order displaying both the ordered quantity and the produced quantity that has now been reported/received. Click Pallet recept view to view the created pallets and print pallet labels.
  6. You access Inventory transaction selection, M-order pallet reception. (Tip: Click All/open pallets to toggle between viewing all pallets or only open pallets). Select the pallet for which you want to print pallet labels and click Print label.
  7. On the confirmation panel, click OK to order the label printout. The pallet has been created, received and the pallet number has been printed. Exit the routine.
