Re-schedule an order created from an MRP order proposal

Related topics

The following instructions depict how you re-schedule manufacturing orders and purchase orders.

Note: Instead of re-scheduling one order at a time, you can use the Full mode re-scheduling function to access and maintain all orders that have been indicated for re-scheduling in the same panel.

Only proposals that are marked for re-scheduling can be re-scheduled. If the Re-sch field is set to YES, it denotes that re-schedule proposals exist for the item line. The manufacturing and purchase orders are automatically marked for re-scheduling by the system in the following cases:

Backward re-scheduling

Backward re-scheduling is proposed by the system if, for example, a new sales order has been entered with a delivery date that is earlier than that of the sales order for which a proposal exists. Instead of creating a new manufacturing order for the new sales order, the manufacturing order that was created from the proposal is re-scheduled to an earlier completion date.

Forward re-scheduling

Forward re-scheduling is proposed by the system if, for example, a new manufacturing order has been entered with a completion date that is earlier than that of the manufacturing order that was created from a proposal. Instead of deleting the new manufacturing order, the manufacturing order that was created from the proposal is re-scheduled to a later completion date.

Deletion

Deletion is proposed by the system if there is no matching proposal for a manufacturing/purchase order. This can be the case if a reservation is deleted.
