Proposals that are release-marked can later be released through a batch job. (See Automatically release MRP order proposals using batch job) for instructions).
Note: This function is only possible if a proposal has been generated for the item. A date in the First prop field denotes that proposals exist for the item. See Calculate material requirements planning (MRP) for information about how to create order proposals.
- Select the Work with MRP (Manufacturing) or Work with MRP (Purchase) menu item.
- You access Work with MRP manufacturing or Work with MRP purchase respectively. Select the item for which you want to view the order proposals and click Proposal.
- You access MRP manufacturing maintenance or MRP purchase maintenance respectively. Select the proposal that you want to mark for release and click Release. (Note: The date in the Req date column must be today’s date or later). The system updates the information. The value of 1 in the Rel column indicates that the proposal is marked for release. Tip: Click Undo to remove the release mark for a proposal. Exit the routine.
You can now release the proposal. Refer to Automatically release MRP order proposals using batch job or Manually release an MRP order proposal for instructions.
