The Parcel carrier functionality enables you to automatically create a consignment for a sales order during pick list confirmation. You may create a consignment at a later stage in Work with carrier consignments where you can maintain and view all consignments.
The manner of transport defined on the customer of the sales order determines the carrier that should be assigned to the consignment and the service to be provided. The driver’s manifest is electronically sent to the carrier company for execution and you can track the consignment via their web address to view its status.
Prerequisites
Application GB1 (IBS GB Parcel Carrier) must be activated in the Application definition table.
