When you have set up an investment budget you can link it to assets in the Asset file. In the Asset file, you also enter the desired investment budget for assets that you want to include. You can link an investment budget to an active asset or a budget asset.
- Select the Work with assets menu item.
- On the main panel, select the asset to which you want to link an investment budget and click Change.
- On the first detail panel, click OK until you reach the Additional information panel for the selected asset. The following fields are relevant:
- Investment budget/code
- Enter the budget year for the investment budget of this asset in the first input field. The code for the investment budget of this asset will be defaulted in the second input field as you enter the budget year.
- Note: You can link both active and budget assets to investment assets. Only the acquisition amount for active assets will be subtracted from an investment budget. The budget asset acquisition amount is shown in a separate column in the Investment budget list, but will not be subtracted from the investment budget amount until you activate the budget asset.
Click OK and exit the routine. Tip: To analyse each investment budget, select the Print investment budgets menu item to print the Investment budget list.
