Location types are used to define valid pick and replenishment units for item/location combinations. This unit relationship is established by assigning location types to locations and then assigning pick/replenishment unit information to item/location types. Item/location type assignments are made on the Location type panel in the Item file in IBS Distribution.
You can print the contents from the Table printout program selection. Note: You cannot, however, delete a location type if it is connected to a location and that location has a quantity.

- Type
- This column lists the existing location types.
- Description
- Displays a description of the related location type.
- Loc/Item
- Displays a number between 1 and 5 defined for the related location type. This field limits the number of locations per item for a put away suggestion. If, for example, 4 is entered, then the put away suggestion will try to find a maximum of 4 locations to place the item.

- Displays the warehouse location type(s) you selected to copy.

- Enter a code to identify the new warehouse location type you are creating.
