This panel displays all planned service order jobs with or without assigned engineers. The panel displays the information on two different levels:
- Order/job combination
If you select a planned service order on this level, then you can update estimated work time and assign engineers to the planned service order job. - Engineer/job
If you select a single engineer on this level, then you can assign work time for that engineer.
Options
Engineer calendar | Select this option for a planned service order job to update calendar information for the whole order/job combination. Select this option for an assigned engineer to update the selected engineer’s calendar details. |
Selection fields

- Displays the warehouse for the planned service order job.
- Engineer
- Displays the assigned service engineer for the job.
- Serv order
- Displays the service order number.
- Type
- Displays the service order type.
- Req service date
- Displays the requested service date required by the customer.
- Req service time
- Displays the requested service time required by the customer.
- Est time
- Displays the estimated work time for the whole order/job combination.
- Assig time
- On order/job level, displays the assigned work time for the whole order/job combination. On engineer level, displays the assigned work time for the engineer.

- Displays the job priority.
- Handler
- Displays the handler of the service order.
- Order status
- Displays the status of the service order.

- Displays the service order job number.

- Displays the customer of the service order.
Work with service planning, Detail (SOR41004)
On this panel you can do the following:
- If you selected a planned service order on the previous panel, you can update estimated work time and assign engineers to the planned service order job.
- If you selected an engineer, you can assign work time for that engineer.

- Warehouse
- Displays the warehouse for the planned service order job.
- Service order number
- Displays the service order number.
- Job number
- Displays the service order job number.
- Status
- Displays the status of the service order.
- Job priority
- Displays the job priority.
- Order type
- Displays the service order type.
- Requested serv date
- Displays the requested service date required by the customer.
- Requested serv time
- Displays the requested service time required by the customer.
- Estimated work time
- Mandatory entry. Enter the estimated work time for the whole order/job combination. Note: You can only update this field if you selected a planned service order to be updated.
- Assigned work time
- Enter the assigned work time for the engineer. Note: You can only update this field if you selected an engineer to be updated. An availability check of the engineer is done. The engineer calendar is updated starting from the requested date/time with given hours.
Whether or not hours should also be updated during the holidays and weekends is read from the Sales order type table, Service information panel. If Normal hours is set to YES, only work days should be updated. The start and stop time of the day is checked from the Time rule matrix. Note: When requested time is used in planning, minutes are always the same as in the Time rule matrix for the warehouse. The calendar is updated with minutes from the Time rules. If planned service order was selected, this field displays the cumulated value of all assigned work time of the order/job combination.

- Displays the handler of the service order.
- Customer
- Displays the customer of the service order.
- Service job engineer
- Displays the responsible service engineer assigned to the job.
- Propose engineers
- Only displayed if you selected a planned service order to be updated. If you tick the checkbox and click OK, a maximum of five most skilful and available engineers are retrieved to the panel. When selecting engineers for a specific job, the system starts to search for the most skilful and available engineer. The system searches in the order specified below:
- The item and at least one service code that matches the engineer, if he/she is available.
- The item that matches the engineer, if he/she is available.
- The item group and at least one service code that matches the engineer, if he/she is available.
- The item group that matches the engineer, if he/she is available.
- If none of five engineers was found, the system checks in the Engineer table if there are any other available engineers.
- The proposed engineers are sorted on skill level.
- Engineer
- If a planned service order was selected, you can select a proposed engineer or you can add an engineer (a maximum of five at a time) to be selected. Only those engineers that are selected using a selection field in front of the engineer name are updated. To assign work time for an engineer you must select an engineer from the previous panel. If an engineer was selected, the following information is displayed:
- The name of the engineer.
- The warehouse to which the engineer belongs, from the Service engineer table.
- The basic time level from the Service engineer table.
