This panel displays information for the service objects that have been set up in your system. A printout of the contents in the file can be obtained from the Print service object file program. The Service objects file is automatically updated when object item(s) are received into the warehouse or sold to the customer. Objects can also be added manually to the file.

Selection fields
- Item
- Displays the item code for the service object.
- Serial number
- Displays the serial number that identifies the service object.
Service object file enquiry (SOR10504)
On this panel you can view basic service object information.
- Item
- Displays the item from the Item file.
- Serial number
- Displays the serial number that identifies the item.
- Customer
- Displays the customer number from the Business partner/Customer file panel, to which this object belongs. Note: When the customer is updated the first time to the object and an agreement exists for the customer, the object is assigned to the agreement. If the service object is connected to a work centre or a tool, the customer must be an internal replenishment customer.
- Location
- Displays the location number to which the object will be connected in the Service location file. A location number can be specified to connect several objects to one location.
- Dispatch date
- Displays the date when the service object was dispatched.
- Measurement type
- Displays the measurement type(s) from the Measurement type table, to define the measurement type of the object.
- Description
- Displays the description of the measurement type.
- Reading
- Displays the reading(s) for the object. When service orders are closed, the user may define values for each of the measurement types defined for the object. For example: If you want to measure copies you can create a measurement type called Copies and when a service order is closed, the handler has to enter the measurement readings for the copy machine defining how many copies have been taken. The measurements are updated for the object and can be read here. Note: When a new reading is entered, the previous one is saved in the Measurement history file, which can be accessed via the Meas hist option on the initial panel.
- User defined alpha
- This field corresponds to the user defined alphanumerical field whose heading has been defined in the DIS control file.
- User defined numeric
- This field corresponds to the user defined numeric field whose heading has been defined in the DIS control file.
- Work centre
- This field is only displayed if IBS Manufacturing is installed and activated. Indicates to which work centre the service object is connected. See Connect a service object to a work centre for more information.
- Tool
- This field is only displayed if the IBS Tools and fixtures functionality is activated in Work with companies. Indicates to which tool the service object is connected. See Connect a service object to a tool for more information.
- Service type calibr
- This field is only displayed if the IBS Tools and fixtures functionality is activated in Work with companies. Indicates the service type, from the Preventive service type table, to be used for the creation of preventive service orders when the tool has reached the calibration point.
