User profile table maintenance, Client parameters (EDSD01704)
On this panel you enter the specific message queue value. Every time an event is triggered, that is to be received by this user, you have the option to let the IBS Alert Management system send the message to a specific message queue. The advantage of this is being able to separate and direct messages to different queues depending on the client type. Note: All information, except for the actual value of the message queue is defined in the Work with client types table.
For a 5250 user you can direct a message to your 5250 session (default message queue) every time an event occurs. An example could be defining Message queue 1 with the following value: *MSGQ=MyQueue (where MyQueue is replaced with a message queue object accessible by the IBS Enterprise system).
For an Analyser user, you can create a separate message queue, used only by the Analyser Alert Management client, where only the event messages will be sent to that queue.
